Newcomer Orientation Volunteer
We are looking for NA members to coordinate Newcomer Orientations for newcomers on how to work the Twelve Steps of Narcotics Anonymous. These workshops are held on Mondays during the day from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. They are free, open to the general public, and some addicts under the supervision of the Drug Court are assigned to attend. We talk about one step every week to give the participants an introduction to working the steps. This is an interactive workshop. You’ll give participants an overview of one or two of our Twelve Steps, a personal story from an addict about how s/he practices that Step in her/his life, and a discussion of assigned questions to get to the heart of that Step. All questions come from the NA Step Working Guide.
